Where do I get files??

I've had my zing air for about 7 months now but I'm still not sure where to get good files.

I'm looking for some sites with some files for commercial use just incase I want to sell something I throw together. I like the ecosystems of the other more main stream cutters, but I like my zing. So any help would be so much appreciated.

@j-sharpe - there are over 10,000 free files in the MTC Gallery, however they are not for commercial use unless you contact the owner for permission. Other SVG cutting files sites also sell licensing for commercial purposes...what were you thinking of making and selling.

@j-sharpe I have put lots of files up in the gallery for all sorts of things - I'm not precious about them but would appreciate recognition also I am happy to collaborate (free I'm an altruist) with any project you dream up if it is within my comfort zone!!

@j-sharpe What sort of projects are you planning eg Greeting Cards, Vinyl Transfers, Stickers etc
Not sure what your meaning by "I like the ecosystems of the other more main stream cutters"
But its quite easy to create your own files the internet is a great source of inspiration
Once you have an Idea of what your wanting there are many people here that are happy to guide you along the way

thanks for the responses guys. To clarify, basically I'm just looking for some good sources of svgs. I like to work with vinyl and I like to make stencils. I haven't really jumped in too far yet and was just looking for some recommendations on where others get their own files. I didn't know if there were some other websites that compare and are better than the cricut and silhouette stores.

@j-sharpe, There are approximately 14,000 free to use files in the Make-The-Cut! gallery. All files uploaded to the gallery are considered to be donated by the designers and therefore in the public domain. There are no restrictions on use for public domain files.

I'm not too sure exactly what you're looking for. Many of us work with vinyl and create stencils for various projects, from glass etching to wooden signs and many other possibilities. Quite a number of sites that sell SVG files can be found with just a simple Google search for "SVG cutting files".

@Liz_A I was thinking about making little stuff to sell on etsy or Facebook and even locally. Some things might be like some pallet wood with vinyl words and/or pics, cups with vinyl, pillows or fabric with words or images, etc.

Just wanted to note that the designs from their cartridges, online software, and store are sold for personal use only. You are not suppose to use for commercial use. Many of the designs in the Silhouette store can have a commercial license purchased for them but it is much more expensive then their $1 per item pricing for personal use.

you basically need to read their terms and conditions on each site that sells files to ensure you are getting ones that you can use commercially. Most people wishing to sell items learn to use MTC to create their own files for their purpose of selling products.

Ok cool thanks guys I've actually never knew about the mtc gallery so I'll be searching around there for a while. But if anyone has some other specific sites that they swear by I'd love to hear about them too. Thanks @Gabe and @Liz_A

I really like SVGCuts and Dreaming Tree 3dsvg. Although their products are for purchasing, their files are superb. They have commercial use licenses for those interested in selling.

@j-sharpe Don't forget that you can down load an MTC file and get it to export it's contents into svg if you want to use it in some other way or modify in some other program.

Another source for cutting files for which commercial use is permitted is the Pazzles Gallery. You membership there allows for up to 40 download per day of designs that you can save to your computer and keep, as opposed to the Cricut "rental" in which you no longer have access to files after membership expires. I sell vinyl decals and tumblers at craft fairs so all the svg's I get are for commercial use my main sites I buy from are
http://www.svgcuts.com/ and http://www.5monkeysclipart.com/ and 5monkey's I like because they have 1 new free file every week and it's always for commercial use. Oh and I love Miss Kate's cuttables too

I sell designs at several sites and all of mine are for commercial use. You can see ALL of my available designs on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/lyricalletters?ref=hdr_shop_menu) where I sell them both as collections and as single designs. I also sell at My Vinyl Designer (http://www.myvinyldesigner.com/Catalog/lyrical-letters.aspx) where you can find my designs as well as a TON of other designers as well MVD is a GREAT resource for commercial use files. I am also on Little Big Crafter (https://www.littlebigcrafter.com/shop/lyrical-letters-design/) where I have a limited selection BUT I sell bundle sets which are drastically marked down. Then there is the Hungry JPeg where I also have a shop (https://thehungryjpeg.com/dashboard.php) with several of my single designs. Lastly, a friend of mine and I are working on a brand new website (https://vinyldesignscutandcreate.com/) where you can find both of our designs. It has JUST opened up, so we are still loading the files to the site. Right now there are about 13 designs set up on it as FREE just so we can test the check-out system so feel free to go get any or all of the free designs while they are still free!! Hope that helps!! I do have designs at all of these places but there are also a LOT of other designers that sell there as well so I hope these will all be great go-to resources for you since all of the sites I mentioned are for commercial use.
