@Simmer I think that Sketchup Make is free. I do not know how it differs from sketchup pro - but I played around with sketchup when it was still part of google. Couldn't really get the hang of it - not like the @Thecuttingart does, so I concentrated more with MTC and PCS.
Well I'm impressed. Couldn't do that myself even with the program as I would never learn all those clever things. But it was wonderful watching you perform and achieve your aim. Love the music as well. Thank you for another entertaining and informative video.
Fascinating and very impressive indeed. I tried to watch closely, and it looks like the program he uses first for modelling the dolphins in 3D is Blender, which is open source and free. I found it here: https://www.blender.org/features/
Then he imported the 3D Object into Sketchup and created the slices in front and side planes. It looks so easy when an expert performs, but I wouldn't know where to start. Anybody have experience with Blender? It looks so easy to model 3D Objects, and it exports to svg among others. I think it would be great to use combined with popup card studio too.

So many programs, so little time .... sigh!
