Wish we had ability to directly use MTC with InVue. Is that coming soon??
Bryan is suppose to be working on developing a plugin for the Vue cutter from Pazzles. However, he is a volunteer working on it in his "free time." Like most of us, I don't think he has much "free time" and he does spend a lot of what he has doing the Webinars, getting them ready to post and then posting, and then helping with the "support" I believe. So we wait patiently.

InVue software was updated yesterday, to correct some of the SVG import issues and bugs that popped up after the previous update. Currently, if we have a design in Make The Cut, resizing it to 80% before exporting as SVG will result in the design importing into the InVue software at the correct original size. While I am grateful that they got this fixed, I am still anxiously awaiting the MTC Plugin for the Vue. It is a great cutting machine. I look forwared to using it combined with the greatest, cutting software, MTC.
The latest update of the InVue software brings the SVG images a bit too large. If you don't mind a slight difference, then no need to worry about it. The previous update was importing SVG files from MTC about 100 times larger than they should be, which was a pain. If the project you are working on demands a very specific size, you can either resize by 80% in MTC before exporting, or simply resize in InVue once you import the SVG.
Patiently waiting also. I have only cut with my new pazzle a few times and gave up and went back to my old Cricut. I feel I wasted my money with this machine due to the software,

at first I thought the same thing but because DH got me the Pazzles I felt I needed to use it. I actually have learned to like some features of InVue better and am getting to like it. however, I have not caught on to the text manipulation so I do my titles in MTC & then import them to InVue. On vacation but when I get home I'm going to work on the text.
I wish Pazzles had Andy do their software for the Invue. Remember when MTC started and if we had a problem and reported it it was fixed right away if possible. With no pay increase for updates if I were Andy with a family of 5 I would have to choose a paying job before working on software that is already among If not the the best out there for nothing. I wish everybody that owns MTC now and loves it would offer to buy it again with updates he could give it more time in his schedule.
@Darlene1 I agree with you. I think it is time to accept that free updates are not feasible any longer. When it was only the Cr***t that was one thing. But now with so many machines it isn't fair or reasonable to ask for free updates. I have number of different software programs and I pay for each update. None of them are as great as MTC .
I agree also!!! Would not mind at all paying for an update. Really, for me my options are to pay for the SCAL update and then learn new software. I would much rather be charged for updates to MTC, and continue using it exclusively. Thing change, how would Ann and Andy have know years ago where this program would end up, not to mention cost brought about to them along the way. I say update and charge, after all, if someone does not want to update and pay they can keep what they have. Just my 2 cents. Valerie
@DarleneI - I have always been willing to pay for updates...the free forever to me was just not logical, unless Andy won the super lotto or something, LOL! Its the way of the world. If I want the latest MS Office suite, I have to pay for the update. If I want to upgrade my operating system, I have to pay for that. The most logical thing is for Andy is to repackage the product, add some new features and call it the Make The Cut! Pro or similar and offer it up as a separate package from what we have now...but that is just my opinion . I think any reasonable thinking person could understand that. SCAL wasn't afraid to do it. Bug fixes is one thing, a version would change from 3.2 to 3.3, but a new feature, that becomes 4.0 and you pay for it.
I'm willing to pay - I agree with the idea bug fixes is one thing but updates are another. I would also think it would be fair to charge those who want it for the plugin that is needed even if nothing else in the program updates at the same time.
If the past whenever there was a update lots of us voluntarily donated money. I love MTC but there has not been a update in a long time. It is of course possible one is right around the corner and that would be great, but I also would rather him drop the free updates than stop updating it. I did buy the SCAL update in order to get the Pazzle plug in. I have been working at learning it some, but I would sure rather just pay the money to update to Andy and not have to learn a different program.
No - last I knew @SBryanW was the one who was suppose to work on it as his time permitted and then he started a new job that was taking lots more of his time

Just thought I'd add my two penneth. (spelling's all wrong) I agree paying for an upgrade or a new additional feature would only be fair. Programmers spend a lot of time figuring out the formats etc. of other machines and should be awarded accordingly. I've never had a problem for paying for something worthwhile.
@Di-lite - a huge number of us would agree with you, Di. Adding plugins (which are stand alone software in the MTC model) for new cutters is much different from adding new features or fixing known issues or bugs to an existing product. One is to attract a new market, the other is to keep the current market. Introducing a Pro version is definitely another option that other software developers are taking.
I know....lets start sending Bryan money and make this worth his while. How do we send him money?? ?lol If we could get him more than his real job plus overtime it might could work. He could use few sick days for an MTC family emergency. Those who don't have the INVUE could just donate to the cause.
You guys are reading my mind. I am thinking he should also sell Pazzles on the idea of shipping MTC with the Vue. Their software is a PAIN ro use. I can't even figure out how to draw a straight line easily if I need it!
I would gladly pay for an update or a new MTC Pro. I would be one of the first in line on the release day! @Andy cannot be expected to keep spending his time for free.
I try to learn the InVue software but there are so many little things that it does not do. The Pazzles InVue is a great little cutter. If the Zing did automatic feed I'd still like it best. We can't have it all. Doesn't stop the dreaming. Oh, and Bryan is overworked so we understand.
It's been a long time since we had an update with new features. The wish list is getting long. I would gladly pay for an update. I agree that there should be a charge for one's work. I am not familiar with @Andy and Ann's circumstances, but I miss hearing from them and their family. When I was here in the beginning of MTC, there was a real family-like connection.... of course, we were all trying to learn the brand new Make the Cut. LOL
