Anyone who loves using vinyl will absolutely love the files Kim has converted into SVGs. Kim is a super gal so stop by to check out her site. We will be doing a design feature challenge with her later in the year! Can't wait!!!
MTC committee- Trish (ImaCutter), Helen (Helen), Rebecca (Reba1), (Diana (Dianain NM), Linda (lindalou692), and Ann (Ann)
Imagine it. Create it. Cut it!
I want to win ths one! I really like this file. I do have a question. When we buy a file from someone's site I know that a lot of times they are for personal use only. I have a friend who called yesterday and wants something that sounds similar to one of Kim's files. If I buy that file and it says I can't sell can the person who wants this item also buy the file and me cut it out for them? I know this is an honesty issue but if several people see this and want it I'd like to be able to make money and have no objection that they buy a file to cut it for them. Do you understand what I'm asking? I have not read Kim's terms and am only using her site for an example. The same example could be for a scrapbook page, or card, etc. The file would belong to the person I would cut it for so I'm thinking it would be their's to do with as they wished as long as they didn't sell the item and I removed it from my computer. Just want to be fair here. Thanks. Darlene
Darlene, your best bet would be to contact Kim (or designer X) and see what she says. Each designer has their own terms. One might say yes go ahead and another may say no. This way you cover yourself also, LOL
Darlene, Kims tou's are that you can sell items made with her designs, just cant sell the files... Hope this helps some.. This is her policy:
"My angel policy is that you may sell products with my designs on them, but you may not share the original file with anyone, and you may not post the original files or link them anywhere on the web. Thanks ~ Kim"
LaurieB and Daffeydill, very cute. I opened the file and decided I needed to wait till others posted to see what it looked like so I knew how to put it together! Thanks for sharing.
There go the over achiever's again. (lol) I like them all so far. Sharon, yours would be great for a guy. We always need those guy ideas. I love the rolled flowers. Hot glue gun...here I come. Darlene
I won't be an over-achiever on this one. I am out of town, with NO cutter. What was I thinking? I love the projects posted already, I am always amazed at all the different variations people come up with.
Here's mine - its kinda simple but I was getting my new ZIng setting set! The white is vinyl on red cardstock. I'm headed out of town and when I get back wed I head to the Anaheim SBE show so no cutting again for me until next month!
@LaurieB, your second entry is beautiful! That would be nice for Mother's Day or even if you visit someone in the hospital or nursing home. They would not have to worry about taking care of the flowers.
@lafrei, love the vinyl on cardstock. I still have not tried that yet. This will make a nice little box for our desks to keep supplies in. Nice job
I have mine done. I didn't add any embellishments because I wasn't sure what I had that would look good. I can see a gift of some shower gel or lotion looking cute in this.
Laurie! I love the flower box!! Now to try and find my pattern for the rolled flowers. I know I have some in here. I have so many empty boxes setting here this one would be great!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Didn't think I was going to have time to do this challenge. Today was our first day off from school due to snow yay!!! Anyway, here is my catch-all. I used a bow shape from the basic shapes and the butterfly is from the mtc gallery.
First time I have entered a challenge. I cut this on my Zing. Used DCWV All about Girls cardstock, LD flowers and Word Art and a Penny Duncan Vine File along with MTC Basic Shapes for the heart.
Hi everybody it´s been awhile but i decided today to enter this cool challenge.Thank you for the nice File it was fun making. So now i hope you like my entry. Lots of Luck to everybody !Thanks and i got the pictures of it on my Blog !http://papernsvgcraftyme.blogspot.com/ Crafty wishes Elke
How do I get the file. When I click on the file nothing happens. I can't do a save as either. I tried to do a challenge a few weeks ago and had a "permission denied" error. Is there something special I need to do to join a challenge?
Dawn, thank you for posting my TOU's I appreciate it. I have been meaning to get over here sooner than today, but it just hasn't worked out for me...I am super excited to be sponsoring the Challenge this month! It's always fun to see everyone's interepretation of the same file. You are all so talented and imaginative! I love it!
@ImaCutter, I like the beach theme, the kraft paper as the sand, the stamp and the waves. Love it!
@katwms, great idea adhering them together to make a wall hanging! They make a nice space saver for all our embellishments.
@linsayscraps, love your paper choice and your scalloped heart. Now throw in some polish, nail file etc., and this make a nice gift for a girl. Thanks for joining the challenge. Hope to see more of your work
@Nancy_Cre8iveCutz, very pretty presentation. Love the flowers and the bird!
@PAPERNSVGCRAFTYME, well what can I say. Perfect for the men in our lives! Great use of all your elements, I really like the paper or is it an embossing folder? This may be my favorite because I have a hard time doing masculine projects! And I have a hubby and 2 sons, so you think I would be good at it by now. LOL
@rpcrafter I just click on the white paper and then save it.....sometimes it takes it awhile to pop up....don't know what else especially when you say permission denied...
Here's mine. I used svgcuts.com doily added some half pearls and did a print and cut of the "Notes". Going to add some paper or greeting cards, with a pen and also some chocolates and it will be a nice gift for someone. The card stock is dcwv shimmer stock. TFL
I made mine a caddy for 8 cans of room fragrance spray. The photo was difficult as the center circle is a chrome cardstock and reflects everything! The papers are from Heidi Grace Designs and the printed one is actually glittered. Perfect for a bathroom shelf! Thanks so much for the file.
These are all so great! I hate to post and run, but after I pick myself up from shock that I did a challenge, I have to go get my house ready for some company this weekend!
I used this box to make a little treat package for my daughter who's getting baptized this Saturday (hence the house visitors) The you're Sweet stamp is My Thoughts Exactly.
Here is my feeble attempt. It just didn't turn out the way I envisioned it. I barely had time to do any designing or cutting during this challenge. And I forgot to buy the ribbon I planned to put on it.
The catch it all is cut twice - from a cereal box and then from wallpaper. I used Photoshop Elements to grab colors from the wallpaper for the 2 layer butterfly. This is a nice, sturdy catch all.
OMG there are so many different idea's here, it's awesome to see what everyone comes up with, LOVE em all.....here's mine, not real fancy but thought long and hard what I needed a catchall for and came up with this......don't have that many coupons that I can use, so it's the perfect size, THANKS Becky for the file!!
