I have templates that I downloaded a long time ago from Mirkwood and I can cut them using my Cricut now instead of by hand!!!! How cool is that? I didn't realize that until I was messing around the other day. Wow, this is amazing.

Ther always seem to be great finds that we lose in these modern mircles we can't live without . I have found things on my external hard drive I don't even remember saving in the first place.

Is this where I'm supposed to say something clever?

I know! It's so silly to forget about stuff loaded on your computer, but if you don't use it all the time, then why remember? LOL, I was just messing around looking for stuff to cut on my Cricut with this software and voila! They showed up in some folder. It's so cool!

Is the template that you downloaded in pdf file? If so, how did you do that? Would MTC able to cut a pdf file? I've been following the MTC, just downloaded the trial version only. I do have SCAL 2 but it seems that MTC is easier to use, don't have to use Inkspace. Thanks a lot.

The only way I know is to open a pdf is with adobe reader and do a screenshot and save or open it with corel paintshop pro or another program and save it as one of the file types that mtc will accept.

Actually the template I downloaded is a .gif file which is supported in MTC I believe. I'm at work so I'm having to think about it. I do know that when I downloaded it a long time ago it ended up in the "My Pictures" folder and I can open it in Picasa so I know it's either jpg or gif. It was visible in my MTC immediately as opposed to some of my digi stamps which I have in Word and have to resave in another program. Stackyscraps has an excellent tutorial for converting PDF files.
