Does the ZING have a circuit breaker or fuse?
I booted an older ZING and set up a simple file to cut. When I clicked “cut,” the blade ran in the up position across to the kill switch on the left. I cut it off immediately wanting to keep it from cutting into the vinyl. When I tried to cut it back on, it won’t come on? Does it have a reset switch or something?

It's in good working order but that wouldn't affect the power on and off would it, just stops the blade, right?

Next step would be to remove the right end cap and check to make sure the connector is... connected
After that would be the bottom cover to make sure the lead is connected to the mainboard
I believe I have a bunch of the button PCBs so that would be last step.

For the button, everything appears to be correct. The last thing for them to check would be the connection to the mainboard. That's a bit of a shot in the dark, but worth checking, regardless. If that's working, we'd need to try replacing the switch. It's a bit of a pain, as I'm sure you're aware of, but can be done by the customer if they want. Otherwise, we could do an RMA. Cost would be about $70 + shipping both ways.

I decided last night to give up on MTC. I tried this morning to install two copies of SCAL. I think that might work since each copy is installed on a separate system. "Custom Prests is a MUCH better option.
Considering what transpired when it quit working think it's the switch. When the blade started crossing the field I rapidly hammered the switch pretty hard trying to get it to stop. It looks like the switch circuit should just slide out after softening the hot glue? Where do I get a new switch circuit?
On Parallels, I use it to run Maverick, an older Mac OS at the same time running Mojave on the main volume. Several programs I use, most importantly the Adobe suite, don't operate effectively in Mojave. The Adobe suite now is only rentable and costs $600 a year. I don't need to do anything my older software can't do and Parallels is roughly $60 a year. Just seemed like the best solution, a little cumbersome but not worth the $600 a year to upgrade.
I can get a quote for the new switch/button. Please send me your full shipping address here privately and I can get a quote, including USPS shipping.

The second option is You can also send her a “private message” or commonly called a “PM” via the forum from that same page. If you look over towards the top right area, just below the search box with “Go” next to it in the gray box area, you should see a button that says “message” if you click on that, it will take you to another window to send a “PM” to her.
