@rainne - we don't support Cricut cutters here as this is a forum for the software called Make The Cut! It can't be used with Cricuts. You need to ask this of a Cricut forum, or google search

The first question, answer is 7 years old:

Answer: The universal overlay is the same size as a cartridge-specific overlay, but has a consistent arrangement of numbers and letters, instead of the varying shapes and letters of older overlays.Aug 23, 2013

Once a cartridge is linked to a Cricut account, it's linked forever. You cannot unlink or transfer a cartridge to another account. Jul 24, 2019

So I am going to suggest you got a very OLD Cricut and are using cartridges because the Cricut software no longer supports the OLD Cricuts.

Both answers relate to OLD Cricuts and their cartridges. HTH
Still using MTC but slowly migrating to SCAL. KNK cutters including the Force and Maxx Air continue to be my favourites. Fluent in other cutter languages.
