My color is off

I have an Epson printer with Ink Owl ink.  I design in Silhouette Designer but my ink colors don't match the color chart.  Can someone help me fix it?

@gwhite - Welcome to the Make The Cut! software forum. Here we support the software Make The Cut! and it's supported cutters.

That said, this is a printer setup issue, not a Make The Cut! issue. So what chart are you talking about - "color chart". There are color charts for HTML colours like this:

    https://htmlcolorcodes.com/color-chart/

There are Pantone colours like this:

    https://www.pantone.com/color-finder

There will also be a huge discrepancy between what you see on your colour monitor and what you see when you print UNLESS you have calibrated your colour monitor to your printer. Like these articles:

    https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-color-calibrate-your-monitor-to-your-printer

    https://www.lifewire.com/calibrate-your-printer-1073954

So first you need calibration, then you need to use a translator from for example Pantone to html, especially if you don't have any color management schemes for your printer. To access the colour scheme or preset you need you would make the changes at the printer level to use the colour scheme or preset and then when yo print from SCAL it would automatically use it every time, or you go into printer properties and choose the scheme at time of printing.

    Hope that helps!
Still using MTC but slowly migrating to SCAL. KNK cutters including the Force and Maxx Air continue to be my favourites. Fluent in other cutter languages.
