Do any of you still use Make the Cut 3.2.1 with a Cricut Personal Cutter.  I am having Pixel Tracing issues.

@emanon48 - no. Obsolete cutter and definitely an older version. The last version to work with a Cricut was version 4.1. You can download the last released version which is already over 5 years old from here:

    http://makethecut.s3.amazonaws.com/MTCInstallers/MTCInstall4.6.2.exe

Read how to install this version without losing your current version:

Make sure to make a backup copy of the Make The Cut! program folder first. You can copy the whole Make The Cut! folder on to a thumb drive for safe keeping. Post back if you need help.

What issue are you having with the Pixel tracing?  It may not be related to the version number at all.

Thank you all for your responses.  The problem I am having with version 3.2.1 is when I go to print the original image after doing a pixel trace, it does not print out in color.  It either prints out as just a black outline, blue and green outlines or solid green.  I downloaded the latest version of Make the Cut which prints out fine, however, that one does not allow cutting to the Cricut.  I am using the Cricut Personal and wanted to try the hinge method of print and cut.  Right now I am printing out the image on the latest version and then cutting it out on my older copy.  My daughter and I have been making cards at her house and I like the Cricut Personal to bring to her house, because it is so portable.  I was just wondering if anyone has tried using it for the method that I have described.  TIA.

@emanon48 - yes, the hinge method was developed by cleversomeday, and she has extensive information about it on her website. I used her method VERY successfully (although it takes time) on my Cricut, til I got the Zing and print and cut automatic was born, LOL!!

See if that is helpful or not.

Regarding the printing, go to File>Print Preview in MTC. Does that look correct? If not, in your original tracing step, did you remember to mark the "Texturize Path" option so that the original clipart will be included?

@SandyMcC and @Liz_A - I don't remember for sure, but maybe one of you will - did the older versions of MTC have the option to select to print to wireframe only so that it would print just the outlines? Could that be what is happening?  I no longer have an old version to check here - but it did cross my mind that could be the issue in printing since she indicates it is printing outlines.

@MeFlick, as I recall, yes. That older version had it, as well.

Yes I can confirm that MTC 3.2.1 does have print wireframe only as an option.

Thanks, I thought so - but been too long and I'm getting older every day and thought my brain cells could be mistaken.  ;)  Since it is, OP, make sure you don't have the print to wireframe selected in print setup.
