    1. Short answer is “it depends.” It depends on several things, what operating system version you are on (most recent update to Catalina no) as well as what cutter you use. The Mac version only worked with a limited number of cutter brands, the earlier KNK models and the Blact Cat and Silver Bullet lines. You can partition your Mac and put Windows on it and then run MTC and other cutters from it.
    See this recent thread: https://forum.make-the-cut.com/discussion/46857/macbook-compatibility#latest

however, also note - MTC is basically an abandoned program that has not been updated in YEARS now so is also not compatible with many of the new cutters on the market. It is still a great program and. An be used with older cutters and to export files out to SVG files that can be imported into other programs.

    Go Vols!
Cutting with 18" Silver Bullet and a KNK Force (the rest are collecting dust!)

@Teekay24 - once you have updated to Catalina, definitely not, as MTC is a 32 bit program and from version Catalina on, Macs will only support 64 bit. You are better off to look into SCAL - which has a native Mac version that is supported on 64 bit operating systems.

Still using MTC but slowly migrating to SCAL. KNK cutters including the Force and Maxx Air continue to be my favourites. Fluent in other cutter languages.
