Hi just wondered if anyone had come across software that can do different name designs like the example picture.

@davlea, Welcome to the MTC support forum.  Do you use MTC?  It is very good at making designs, even like the picture you posted.  In fact, several years ago, members of this forum did some awesome work by cleaning up a couple of fancy fonts.  Sometimes fonts, which are primarily designed for printing rather than cutting, will contain artifacts that make them difficult to cut cleanly.  We made it a forum project, where anyone could select a letter, or letters, in the Regal font or the Anabel font and clean up the letter so it would cut perfectly.  Once that was done, several people took it upon themselves to create some split letter designs.  Exactly like that image you uploaded, except the center space was blank, of course.  You could pick a G, for instance and then add a name between the two lines.  Gabriel, Gladstone, Goonie, or whatever.  You could cut out the design in vinyl, apply it to your chosen surface and then paint the open space to create an image exactly like yours.  You could also apply the design to glass and then etch the design using acid cream or a small sandblaster.  :)

@davlea - not aware of any software that does this with a click of a mouse button, it's all been design work done by individuals. Several designers are offering up their vector or raster files that can be used to create designs like this. Check out:

Here is a FREE monogram maker:

Still using MTC but slowly migrating to SCAL. KNK cutters including the Force and Maxx Air continue to be my favourites. Fluent in other cutter languages.
