using Gazelle after years, but lost dongle... Am I screwed?
I bought a gazelle back in 2011. It has been in my closet for years now and the dongle is GONE... Is it junk now or can I get it to work with MTC? Do I need Windows 7?
OK did some more reading, the dongle is only good to use Funtime. I believe that Funtime needs to be installed because that is how you get the drivers so the computer can communicate to the cutter, whether you use Funtime or not. Hope that helps.
Still using MTC but slowly migrating to SCAL. KNK cutters including the Force and Maxx Air continue to be my favourites. Fluent in other cutter languages.
The dongle is only tied to using Funtime. You should be good to go with MTC, but note that if you're installing MTC on a new computer you MAY run into issues. If so, just post back with what's happening and we'll explain what to do.
