DH and I will celebrate our 45th wedding anniversay in May, we have three married daughters and six grandchildren. We are retired and live in northern Indiana. I am hoping to get to know all of you and learn from you as well...although I gotta tell you, I can be a "dunce" sometimes!
My name is cher .......... I love anything to do with crafts , but my passion is card making ....I brought a craft robo and struggled sp much with it , in the end it just sat there collecting dust ........ but then a family member got me a cricut create and found it fantastic for cutting through the card i wanted it for .... then I moved on to the expressions and loved it even more , Then I was browsing the net one night and came across make the cut ..... omg im in heaven so much you can do with your own designs and so much easier to work with than the robo .....I dont work at the moment due to illness , I have 4 beautitful children ranging from 7 to 21 .. im 41 and been with my partner for 9 years im a full time crafter lol ........and from the UK
Rachell
I've been a crafter since I was old enough to stand on a stool and play at the kitchen table. I took up scrapbooking in the more "creative" modern way about 10 years ago, after I left my job as a Human Resources Manager to move (with hubby, of course) from Silicon Valley to the Sacramento area (northern California). Married for 18 years, no children, but tend lovingly to a Springer Spaniel who thinks she's human and lets you know it.
I got my first Cricut while working part-time at a local scrapbook store...and graduated to an Expression about 18 months ago. I use it SO much more now that I have MTC!

I see there are 2 others on here from Northern Indiana. Maybe we could find a "center" point and meet sometime now that the weather has become more agreeable.

i am def going to purchase the software this weekend. i dl'ed the trial version a while back, but never really played around with it. i'm really excited to use mtc as i decided to quit pc and boycott all their products! how do i view the gallery?
You open MTC (if you downloaded awhile back, you may want to see if you have the newest version 2.2.1b). This version matches the recorded Webinar found at the top of the forum. You access the Gallery through MTC, Custom Shapes tab, the button that looks like the MTC logo...
Until you purchase, anything you try to cut will have a watermark diagonal slash cut through it (just so you know)

My name is John, been married just over 30 years, just turned 50 (that is hard to say).
I have been in the computer industry working on very large mainframe systems most of my life.
My wife (Kathy) owned her own day care and preschool. Now she is the Children's director at our church where we both serve.
I have 3 sons, the oldest is a Pastor and married, the middle one is a youth director and studying to be a pastor and the youngest is engaged.
I enjoy long walks on the beach and sitting around a campfire (oh, sorry I don't know how that got in there? wrong website)
My wife and I love working with kids, everything I do in my spare time is in support of that effort. We have taken a number of teams to Mexico and Cameroon to work with the children there.
I am a gadget guy, I like to buy things. I saw the cricut infomercial and thought it would be great for what my wife does. I don't pay full price for anything. Bought it off ebay and have been very happy especially after finding MTC. We own about 20 cartridges and once this stupid lawsuit is over may buy more now that we know how to use them...
My wife gives me a bad time, she thinks I spend too much time watching this board. I tell her I am checking on my investments and MTC is looking good.
Thank you again for all the help and entertainment you all provide. Someday I hope to change my name from John&Kathy to something like Master Cutter, but for now it is just J&K.
btw, I must confess, that I am a bit jealous of Andy and all the attention he is getting. All he has to do is show up and you gals start cooing and the message board lights up like a Friday night in Vegas. Come on ladies how many post do you see out there "Andy is here! Andy is Here!". I'm sure he is wonderful, but maybe he doesn't exist. Maybe Andy is a room full of tobacco chewing programmers in a basement in New Jersey. And now is wife is here.. Hmmm I wonder who she is?
Have a great weekend...
Did you see us REALLY ooohing and ahhhing and cooooing after the webinar when we actually got to see a REAL picture of Andy?! Darn it! I don't think ANYBODY screen capped that...NUTS!

I'm Kathy. I'm a hoarder. LOL
I'm 47 yrs old...happily married for 28 years...have three grown children DD=27; DS=24; DS=21...ALL LIVING AT HOME YET!!!! I guess I make it tooo easy for them! LOL...I love having my young adults at home though...even though I would have more scrapping room if SOMEONE would move out. Anyhoo...I'm a nail tech and a scrapper wanna-be...I love techy stuff too. I live in Wisconsin by choice...we live in the coolest part of wisconsin..Two Rivers. It is 5 miles out into Lake Michigan..."cooler near the lake" is the slogan.
I've always loved art...admired my big sisters talents when I was just a teen and it took off from there. I went to my first SU! party a few years ago and knew I'd be in trouble! Went to a crop with one of my clients and vowed I would not touch her baby c...but did and I was hooked. Bought a baby machine, and a year later, I touched the same clients E...had to have the E and told DH I was not letting the baby go. Then earlier this year, I convinced him that if I sold my E and bought a couple pink E bundles and sold them separately, it would pay for the pink one I was going to keep. Let's just say I have my ways...I still have my baby c, the original E and the pink one...I'm a hoarder.
Last year I was planning on unleashing the power of my c via SCAL 2 around thanksgiving...hoping there would be a sale. For some reason, I just didn't bite. Then in December, while browsing the other site, I came upon Mary's (Scrappbooking_Grandma) thread about MTC. Well I think it took all of 3 days before I couldn't help myself and I HAD to have it!! It is probably one THE BEST purchases I have made. I need to use my computer to scrap more...when I have my laptop...that will change everything! LOL ;o)
Been married this July for 30 years to a wonderful man. Have one son who is still in high school. I drive a big yellow school bus for for MCPSS. Love it. I have two dogs or as I call them my fur babies.
I visit the board often & hope to be less of a lurker & more of a contributor
My name is Candy (from NC, I'm married and I have a 20 month old son). I've been lurking here for a while reading tutorials and looking for ideas. You are all a really great group of folks and I definitely get the "family" vibe. I was really on the fence about making the big CE purchase and MTC was what convinced me to make that investment. I downloaded the trial and shortly after dived on in and bought the software. I am still trying to learn and I don't come near all of your talents, but I absolutely find the site and the tutorials very inspiring. The main thing I do is scrapbook my son but hopefully I can venture into other crafting areas. I so appreciate MTC and all of the possibilites it allows.
btw, did you mean you drive a big yellow school BUS?... just wondering... you left that word out. You can click on "edit" in the text box on the right and then add it in... ;-D

I have been happily married to Mike for almost 4 years. Together we have teenagers: two boys 20 & 17 (mine) and two girls 17 & 15 (his) This is where my scrapbooking addiciton all began. I have scrapbooked everything since the day one we started going out and the kids all finally meet each other (date #2).
See I have known Mike for years and he knew my first husband very well. Let me back track......my first husband of 15 years passed from cancer almost 6 years ago after a long hard fight for years. I then realized I have all these pics - disorganized............what a shame. I vowed that if I every got remarried - that would not happen again. I have tried to scrap the pics of years ago - sometimes it just hurts to much to do.
I have sinced separated them into a box for each of my boys for when they leave home. I have given one box away so far to the oldest.
This is all why I make the cards for the people in need of a smile - especially children. The cards that I received during my time of need - I hold so dear to my heart and read them from time to time.
I am and office manager for a local advertising agency and have been there for 2.5 years. I love it and work for a great boss and have a wonderful creative staff that are ususally the receipents of my treat boxes and office decorations. We play Bingo in our production meetings and my treat boxes are usually the prizes.
I live in Ohio - near the Pro Football Hall of Fame! Woohoo! Go Vikings! Mike and I are proud members of several Chevrolet Avalanche Clubs all over the US and we travel quiet a bit for get-togethers and such. We have meet some wonderful people along the way. My crafting and the Avalanche Clubs blend together. I am currently making cupcake wrappers for a wedding of one of the club members and his fiancee. I also send out the birthday cards and one for those who have had surgery.
Mike and I's thoughts: I don't ask how much he spends on the truck mods - he doesn't ask about the scrap supplies! We both enjoy them in the long run!
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I love...love....love this forum, the wonderful people on here and the MTC software!
Well, my name is Melissa (which means honeybee..my screen name) I am almost 38, happily married to a wonderful, wonderful man for nearly 19 years now ( yes we married young) we have two beautiful daughters. I am a SAHM or as sjh9902 said a "Domestic goddess" I LOVE that. It is my new title... thanks! We homeschool, LOVE IT! We live in Zillah, WA which is near Yakima (small rural area). We moved here almost 4 years ago from Los Angeles. HUGE change in lifstyle. We much prefer the slower pace of life here and the fruit is AWSOME. So glad that God brought us here!
I also enjoy this message board, very helpful and nice people. I haven't joinded any other message boards so I haven't experienced the not so nice boards others have mentioned, probably a good thing, I may not have tried another if my first experience had not been a good one. And I LOVE MTC. I have used my c much more since getting it, of course I would probably get a lot more done it I worked more and read less :)
Hello to All!
