I wanted to do these with my zing. Maybe next week!
I usually use my cutters to trace quilt applique designs on fusible webbing. Now to find some fancy paper and decorations to make it really pretty.
I had the perfect double sided card stock, I enlarged the birdhouse just a tad, it is 4.25" to the peak.
I am cutting with Remy and PnC is not really an option with him. I went looking for a paper piecing bird, and found an adorable chickadee on the svgshop.com website. For some reason, I specifically searched for chickadee, I guess I must like them for winter themes. He is mounted with a foam square so he sits out from the front slightly.
I added a candle and in the dark:
I used my phone camera, so I apologize for the bad pictures.
Best way to secure the roof if you need to get back in?
I printed some "twig background" and lined the inside of the birdhouse with that, add little potpourri in the bottom for a fresh pine scent in the artificial tree!
Everyone that has submitted their birdhouses has done an outstanding job and I love the diversity of them all. I def. want to do more of these, but next time use a decent patterned card stock.

I used a gold gel pen to add the "stitching" around the edges. The ornament and bird are Christmas stickers. It says "Season's Greetings" on the inside. I embossed the roof to make it look like little shingles. I accidentally squished it right before I hung it on the tree
Dah, I know you're going to think I'm dumb but I didn't even figure out how to get the file...lol
I followed your instructions and got the file, opened it and ..ahhh, that looks complicated to me? Not that I have a cutter yet anyway, but think I better go back to the manual and keep reading until my cutter arrives. I just love those bird houses... I'll never make it in time to get in on the challenge but maybe I'll have one ready for the next birdhouse challenge next year? lol
Thanks, you are all so kind!
Here is mine. Paper is from DCWV.
I can't believe the variety!! Beautiful job! Thanks to all who entered and made comments of encouragement!!!
They all are beautiful!
I think it would be cute to put a house number (and maybe street address?) on your birdhouses ....especially if they are a gift, put the persons house number on them.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Bonnie
(you may want to put your name or initials on that file so people can remember who made it)
