I just wanted to let everyone know that my local Australian KNK Zing retailer Skat Katz are always brills in delivering top notch customer service.

My Zing blade holder had a faulty o-ring in the top section making turning the blade in and out so hard. I rang up Fred on Tuesday late afternoon and I got a whole new top section in the mail today. He insisted on replacing the whole top turning part and not just the o-ring. Makes one feel so honoured to do business with them.

Thanks Fred and Skat Katz

Can you cut with wireframe with the Zing? I have the USCutter MH721 and I cut with wireframe. I didn't like it at first, but I LOVE it now. I don't have to wait for the image to cut before doing something else in MTC. Also, I am so used to the orientation with wireframe. Once it is set up it stays that way for the rest of the time. Is knife like wireframe? Can I set it and forget it or do you have to set the origin each time? I've read the part of the manual, but still unclear exactly what to do. Thanks

The authorization email contained a very long error code, where the auth. code should have been. I have tried the "resend" link about ten times, with no luck. I have a ticket and an email in to support, but I was REALLY hoping to use this today. I even signed up last night in order to make the process easier when I got up in the morning. When things like this happen before I even have the program running, it makes me nervous about whether I should wait (for who knows how long) to get my auth code, or just ask for my money back. I really really want this program, and I'm starting to get really frustrated.

I just got my Cameo this week and was so happy to know that it cuts up to 10 ft. I had a very nice order from someone for a decal for a trailer that was right at about 5 feet long. However, when I went to cut it tonight, it won't cut past about 40". It's in there right and everything looks right on the screen but it won't cut the last half of the image. Do I HAVE to use the studio software for it to cut 10'? I am WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too busy with orders right now to stop and learn a new software so I had intended on just using MTC. I am so disappointed!!! Can anyone help??

I have a Gold Cut JK series Cutting plotter which is 24" wide. I am trying to cut letters that are 3" high and the text takes up about 14" in width. I have set my mat size to 24" x 12" so when the text is on my screen it is over half the width of my mat. However when I try to cut it, it will only cut the letters that fall within the first 12" (or before the middle of the page). Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you

I understand that with knife point the pen tool writing has to trace the tag too (because of the bounding box) and I don't want a drawned line around the tag. If I chose to use WYSIWYG would that eliminate the lines the pen tool will make? I have a Clack cat Lynx. Thanks for your help.

I have discovered on this amazing forum that the Sizzix Eclips blade holder is a good one to use in my Ba-Zing-Ga machine and have just ordered one from Amazon for about $9.00. My question now is which Roland Blades to buy. I know the ones from China arent top quality but my head is boggled by the choices on Ebay. Some are 23mm long, some are 24mm long some say HQ (High Quality???) others not. Also what do I buy..the 45 or 60 degree..I currently use the red tipped ones that came with my Zing. Please help even if its just with links to your fave seller. Many thanks
Bridget

My husband and I just started our own craft, vinyl and printing business. I have a CE (which i have been ready to replace) & a US Cutter Laserpoint 24" & an HP Designjet 42" printer. Now, true we are doing alot of vinyl orders which the laserpoint works great for but... I am an avid cardstock user, making cards & such, but I cannot seem to get the laserpoint to cut my cardstock without it moving and then ruining my product.... there is no tighnening the tension rollers we have tried, have also tried slowing it way down as to not so much jerking around the paper. Tried the C mat, some thin stencil that I made into a sticky mat, and even very thin plastic. Really dont want to buy yet another machine but i can't do it all with what I am using apparently. The CE only works when it wants to even with new blades.... grrrrr. Being that I do both vinyl & cardstock i am interested in what would be my next option, If I go with a better vinyl cutter am I going to have the same issues when I need to cut cardstock or even plain paper (which the cricut seems to chew up everytime no matter how slow or high my pressure is). I have been looking and it appears the BC might do the job & comes in the 24" that my vinyl cutter is.

any HELP Please?????

If I rotate it 90 degrees and cut it then the cut comes out smaller by about 5 - 10%. If I rotate it back to the original position, it cuts the correct size.
I thought I would let everyone know that the issue has been resolved with not being able to have both opf and ttf fonts installed in MTC for the Thin Fonts from Lettering Delights. If you have purchased them, simply go to the Try-Me-Now tool on LD, and redownload the zip file. The OPFs have a different name (with underscores instead of spaces). Sorry about the hassle!

Also, today is the last day to enter suggestions into Jin's Suggest-a-Sketch contest. There are a lot of great ideas! The random winner will get a sketch which is custom colored by the artist. I think I'll even let them select the first set of sketches to do. Anyway, all you need to do is add a comment to this blog, and you are entered to win. Thanks much!

---Doug

PS - We've heard your requests, and we are currently working on a few sets of more elegant and professional-looking Thin Fonts.

I'm having an issue with my Zing not cutting past a certain point. I was cutting a large, simple shape out of 12"x12" sheet, and the first few sheets cut fine. But then on the last one, nothing on the left half of the sheet cut. The blade arm actually lifts up in the middle of a continuous cut while the machine goes through the motions, and then depresses again and resumes cutting once the blade carriage is back on the right side of the sheet (around the 5-6 inch mark on the mat). It also seems like the blade arm slams down harder than it normally does when it starts a cut.

I've never had this problem before, and I tried turning the machine off and on, disconnecting/reconnecting, rebooting my computer and restarting MTC, turning everything off for a couple of hours to cool down, cutting different files that cut fine before, and the problem continues. I'm not sure if it's a software issue or a hardware, and would appreciate any help!
