Lil_LovesLil_Loves Member Posts: 3
Hello I currently have a KNK Zing Air which I use MTC with. I am looking at getting a larger plotter and would like to know if anyone can offer advice on which Larger Machine I could purchase that work with MTC. I’m located in Australia so after advice for machines available in Australia. Thanks so much.

This may sound a little negative
But  I'm not so sure works with mtc should be part of the equation or a least carry much weight

From memory some of the MH cutters may have worked with mtc possibly only using the wire frame mode and print function to send the data to the cutter
if you search back through the forum you may find which model they were
I have a feeling the MH721 may have been one that may have worked but the newer model didn't ???

Maybe it may be best if you ask US cutter directly
If you buy for a Australian based supplier and can visit there premises MTC with run from a usb stick you maybe be able to test in store ?

I would agree with @Crazy_Mr_Zing. MTC has not been updated for several years, so it does not support the newer cutters and newer features. Yes, I love MTC, and it works for now, but there will come a day when an update breaks it permanently, and there may be no fix coming. I would find the cutter that meets my needs and then look at software that supports that cutter secondly.

If you are not needing print and cut, then the new 24" Zing Orbit would provide you both the larger size you're wanting and the ability to cut from MTC. Skat Katz should have them in stock.  But I agree with both Paul and Liz in that you cannot count on MTC always working with future updates to either Windows or Mac.
