Zing Air Makes a Tiny Job and Quits

On one layer of a purchased pattern, after the laser is set and I select Cut, the blade makes a little jog and then just stops.  I read the manual, for once; the Auto Select is on, and two paths have been flattened.  So far this is only happening on one layer.  I can send the file in a private message

I'm thinking first check there are not any orphaned nodes of the mat and outside the cutting area
to do this select all and observe that bounding box does not extend off

I agree. It's probably something quirky like that. Maybe first try doing a copy/paste in place of this layer onto a new page. When you select it, make sure the bounding box around the selection seems correct.  If that doesn't fix the issue, feel free to email the file to me at [email protected] and explain which layer you're trying to do the PNC on.

If the pattern is from 3DSVG, they do use a small shape for sizing purposes and I believe it is on its own layer. Check that this is not the issue, if you are using one of their files.

    It is printing everyone.
I recreated the file three times, applied auto simply and simply nodes.  Tried fuse and weld too but it said there was nothing to apply.  I do not know what was in the file that the program didn't like but I guess it is gone now.
@Liz_A ; I did check for small shapes couldn't find any but this was a 3DCuts file.
This problem really scared me!  I thought it was a cutter problem.  Thank goodness it was a file problem I guess.

Well I guess I lied.  When I cut this recreated layer it ended up way to small for the rest of the frames.  Enlarged it to correct size; now it won't cut again.  I am beside myself.  You all know this always happens when you have a mailing date right around the corner!

Same thing happened to me but it works fine when cutting from SCAL. So, this is what I did after having the failure:

    1. Exported from MTC and imported into SCAL.  Cut just fine.
    2. Exported from SCAL and imported into MTC:  still failed with that version.
    3. Back in SCAL, I broke, rejoined, and simplified.  Export and imported into MTC:  cut half way and then stopped.
    4. Applied Flatten Paths.  SUCCESS!

So, I sent you the version that worked.
