Cut Lines

tasparkstasparks Member Posts: 1
I am new and awaiting delivery of my Cameo 3. In preparation, I am creating Adobe Illustrator files (SVG). I am cutting cardstock for individual postcards. Quick question: Can two (or more) shapes share the same cut line, or must each shape be separated from others? Example: two adjacent rectangles share a side, and I want to end up with those two rectangles cut out. Thanks!

I assume you will be using silhouette studio to cut to cameo 3 as
Make the Cut software for which this forum is about does not fully support cameo 3

to answer you question yes adjacent shapes can share dividing cut lines
though is the shapes are to contain imagery the shapes and the imagery may have to be separate entities rather than a shape with a image as fill

There that also posses the question the basic free version silhouette studio does not allow svg import upgrade to a version that does allow this is requires
Sure cuts a lot software would also be an option
