Registration question

Hello.
I've recently inherited an old laptop with a version of MTC 3.2.1 that has not been registered yet. I have played around with it for quite awhile and would like to try the full version. Can I get a registration code for this version? I don't want to upgrade the software.

@mlandriault - the only way to get a registration code is to purchase the software, you will get a registration code to enter in the version you have and it will unlock it. This will work on all versions of Make The Cut! except one.

Thanks for your response Liz....I just want to be sure that this version isn't the one that the registration will NOT work on. I don't want to purchase a code to register and have it NOT work!

MTC would need to be asked directly via their support page to verify specifically.  Their support page can be found here: http://www.make-the-cut.com/Support.aspx

However, they do have a 30 day money back guarantee so you could get a refund if you had a problem (but of course verify that with MTC powers that be.)

@mlandriault - what version do you have.

The most important question in all of this is what cutter do you own?  For all we know you can buy a code and upgrade to the latest MTC and use it with your cutter. However, MTC cannot cut to all brands of cutters. So, let's start there... what cutter, including model, do you own?

    Hello.

@SandyMcC  - Based on the information in the OPs original post -where she indicated that she wants that version of MTC that is on the computer and does not want to upgrade it - I am assuming that she has an old Cricut that she wants to use it with.  That is really the only reason anyone would want to register and keep an old version of MTC.

@Liz_A  - The Op noted that the old computer has version 3.2.1 of MTC on it and she wants to keep that version.  I believe that version is "fine" and will register but couldn't recall what the one version was that would no longer register but I think it was a 2. one.  However, I always think when someone wants a definitive answer it is always best to send them to the "source" which in this case is MTC support to find out for sure. There is still support provided via the support link last I understood from Bryan.

Yes the version that won't register is a 2 version, the one that allowed saving Cricut cartridge images.
