MTC fatal error

JanaJana Member Posts: 683
For the past week MTC has been flaky. I used app cleaner, downloaded MTC from Sandys link from a discussion in 2015.  I am using a MAC with 10.9.8.  What can I try next.  I have installed and uninstalled several times tonight and still am receiving the Fatal Exception Error.  MTC (if I can get it to open) freezes immediately and I do a forceful quit.  I will check back in a while, since it's late Saturday I don't expect help until tomorrow.   Any help is greatly appreciated.  (just to add my MAC is running perfectly)

@Crazy_Mr_ZingI am downloading the mac version from 3/15.  And this happens when starting a new project and opening a project to work on.  I have also downloaded the MTC bridge file and the FDTI drivers (this comes in the download)

I am at my whits end.  I have several deadlines for design teams and really don't want to use Sure Cuts A Lot.  I may have too. MTC's PNC is much better.

If I were having that much problems with the program, I would log a support ticket directly with MTC and seek their help:  You can do that here:

Jana wow your mac has an old operating system - Maverick. First why haven't you upgraded? I tend to upgrade for security reasons. Does it have first aid in the disc utility? I have used first aid a number of times and it really helps an older mac.I would try repairing the disc first, Then I would use app cleaner app to get rid of MTC and the bridge app.  Restart the Mac and then, download MAC fresh and then reinstall including the drivers.

@leslie6111  I don't really know why I haven't upgraded.  But I am now using El Capitan and will probably upgrade again.  The spinning wheel of death has gone away and my Mac is so much faster.  Now I will try to get MTC to work.  Thank you
@MeFlick I will log a support ticket if the new OS does not solve the problem.

@Jana - with the OS upgrades to El Capitan, you will need to make sure that you "allow" the use of a non Apple Developer program in order for it to work correctly.  If you need info. on that, check the forum here on google Apple Gatekeeper for further information.  You can easily do it in El Capitan, but in Sierra, they have removed that user option and you have to do it another way.  Recently discussed here on the forum I know.
