We have a wonderful challenge for you this week featuring the design talents of Charity at http://www.adamsacres.com/.

If you haven’t come across Charity’s site before now, it is worth checking out. Charity’s files are really versatile whether your scrapbook, make cards, make gifts, and more.We snagged the info from her blog so you can get to know her better.


Charity is a married mother of 3 elementary age kids. She lives on a farm in central, Nebraska. She married the guy who was just 13 miles straight up the road. She started fumbling on the Internet in 1997 when my daughter was born. She wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and thought maybe maybe she could generate a few extra dollars per month. By the 2000 she was working as a corporate consultant for an online network marketing business where she proceed to build an online lead generation, training and contact management service for a large group of network marketing associates. She was a co owner for that company until 2007 when her partner bought my share of the business.

Later she started blogging on http://www.adamsacres.com/. After awhile the site was seeing such an increase in traffic that she started to market it full force. "The best thing about the site is the emails and comments from the visitors. I love to here their stories and how this blog helped them with a layout or a new idea."

Charity has a special Mother’s Day card she is sharing with us for the challenge. The rules are that you must use either this file or one of her others. In order to be able to enter the challenge, is there any way we can get this file without checking out through Paypal and the necessity of leaving all our information for a $0.0 item? If not, can we create our own file that would be similar to this?

Trish or Charity, is there a different way the file can be accessed for our forum members? I tried using manual and paypal and all info needs to be supplied before the file is available for download.

Charity, can you set it up where when the coupon is entered, the file is available immediately without entering all that personal info? Just trying to make it a little easier for all. ;) I know you are trying to keep track of who downloads the file because it's a paid file in your store.

I got mine to work putting in the coupon code then using manual check out. It didn't work the first time but it did the second. I copied and pasted the code the second time. Let me know if it still isn't working.

Heres my entry. On pearl centre looks a bit off centre!!! Enjoyed making this card. My Mum has long passed away might give it to my granddaughters to give to their Mum.

Got my file...w/out any problem. I just filled in the info except phone #, 'paid' with Paypal and than rec'd download link. But it's personal preferences, I know. Thank you Charity for the file...

i put in coupon in box and got 0.00 but could not find where to download the file. then saw a huge download box that said download now & click on that it downloaded something called 1388 exe.. hope that was the design. if not i got something. maybe you can write step by step how to get your challange design to download. thanks anyway.

I finally got my card done. I think what was throwing me off was the Mother's Day sentiment. I was done with my Mother's Day cards. So I just changed the sentiment to congrats and will use the card for a grad card for one of my students. I cut two layers of the flowers with one as a black out layer. The rest was pretty easy. I will also post this on my blog.

Lindalou, Your glitter really shows up. So pretty. Mine never shows up well in a picture. Thanks for taking the step to do your first challenge. I hope this is the first of many!!! We have challenges twice a month so keep your eyes open.

Here is my entry. I sure hope it's ok, I used a little creative license. I kept the flower bouquet in the same position but made it into a tree. Used the background from CraftyScrapping. My daughter-in-law is a veterinarian. I don't have grand kids yet but I have a lot of grand dogs, cats, turtles, frogs, and fish. So I made a card from all the animals. The one with wings is for Clio who we lost in October. Thank you to Charity at Adams Acres and the challenge team for this challenge. Happy Mothers Day everyone!
