(RESOLVED) Zooming where the cursor is

Is there a setting that will allow the zoom feature to zoom into the screen based on where the cursor is? I'm constantly hunting for the place I want to view when zooming as it zooms up and to the left corner.
(It's probably right in front of my face, but I'm zoomed in so far I can't see it! LOL)

You can hit the '3' key on the keyboard, or select 'View' -> Zoom To -> Selected.

There may be others, but that's what I've found.

Dave is right about the 3 key - but it moves to the selected object not where the cursor is (or actually caret - the red vertical bar). So first select the thing - then zoom - then press the 3 key and it will center the selected object on the screen.

    Hope this helps

Thanks, I thought I could set it to automatically zoom to where the mouse cursor is whenever I use the scroll wheel on the mouse while holding the shift key
    But this works, thanks!

When using the Ctrl + mouse scroll wheel, it will try to keep what is currently in the center of the window remain in the center as it zooms.

Mike, thanks for the tip. Select, Zoom, 3

    Didn't think of that.

Thanks for these tips. I had no idea I could zoom to selected or use my scroll wheel. Proof positive we all learn something new everyday. Thanks again all. I love this software and I find the more I learn the true ease of use is shinning through.
