    Thanks !

    @Shirley I used a black cat cougar on the cross and the metal I bought from All the Jazz last year when he first opened ..just now found something to do with it. Was rooting around in my supplies and came across it. It is the thicker one not the foils.

    Looks awesome maxine! Don't you just love what you can do with MTC and our Cougars! :x I think I have some of that metal from Tyler/All that Jazz. May have to give this a try later when I get about 25 volleyball t-shirts done! (Might get them done if I got off the forum! ;) )

  • Wonderful!! Would look awesome sandwiched between glass in a frame, or even adhered to a tile with lead trimming the shape - like a stained glass window piece. LOVE this!!

    @maxine
    So did you use an engraving tip or what? Please explain because this is super awesome!!!!

    I can see that in a shadow box! Big lots has a two pack that were maybe 11 x 14. I had one in my hand and didn't get it. I think they were $12 for two.

    This thread might need to be marked enabler alert because I really, really want to get stuff to try this!!! I have some copper that should be about the right weight. I would love to put my zing to the test!

    Thanks Rorysnonna Trish , Dawn , juzyroo and agcsmom so much.
    @imacutter Trish Im a novice at it so I have no clue I used the max setting 255 but Im pretty sure I could have gotten away with far less. And I didnt really go that slow I used 255 as well for velocity. And as far as tips go I have no clue ..I bought this one when I bought my cutter. LOL Im pretty clueless most of the time.
    @ruthgillis_ID2936 Here is the pic I promised you. I am still going to add a verse and my sisters last name in vinyl. It will probably have the verse as for me and mine we will serve the Lord. Im not sure if I want to add anything to the black frame yet or not. Im thinking it might be a little much. Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

    I cut the paper to go over the TOP of the cross to hide the edges of the metal. I used K and company specialty papers.

    I really like this frame I bought at Michaels it has 2 pieces of glass that the cross is sandwiched between and a border on top of that to hold it in place. Makes it easy.

    Yes Maxine. I have been buying the sandblast material at H&H Supply. Love it. Thicker need a high force but it cuts beautifully and does not stretch.

    Here is my first engraving. I did a little plate for a card. The frog stands for - Fully Rely On God. I added a little ink to try to make the etched part stand out a little more. It actually helped to age the copper a little and not look so shiny. I want to mess around a little more to see what materials work best. Definitely fun!!

    My copper was pretty heavy. I bet a little softer would be perfect. I was a little nervous on how much force to use and what it would end up doing. Did you go over yours more than once?
