help... i called knk-usa and asked specifically will I be able to run MTC on mac, she said yes the beta will be sent to you.. Has anyone out there gone through this already? mail as in snail mail or email? anyone offer any words of wisdom?
I don't have a mac, but I'd like to. Anyway, I looked it up for you and found a couple of answers that may be of some help. Here ya go.
In November of 2010, Andy said this: "you need to run it on Parallels or VMWare Fusion."
In March of 2011, astack229 said this: "I have a Mac and run Parallels on it with Windows XP. The advantage of Parallels (or any vm software) over Bootcamp is that I can have both operating systems running simultaneously. It really has it's advantages. I use MTC on the Windows operating system and have never had a problem!"
And the rumor is that Andy is working very hard on a mac version of MTC right now. So it may indeed be just around the corner.
A week ago in the webinar Andy said he had MTC working on Zing with macs and he would send the beta to people with the Zing and macs who sent him their email. This past webinar he said he had a little.more tweaking to do. Try to be patient...Andy likes his files to be ready before he makes them available. Brenda in WA
I would send a note to support asking for the Beta version to be sent to you when it is made available for testing noting that you have the Zing. (Andy said he would release it first to those who own the Zing for testing).
Also note: this is going to be a "Beta" version which means it is NOT an OFFICIAL release. Beta versions are for testing of the software to find any bugs, problems that may still be there. So, if that is not for you I would suggest waiting a little bit. HOWEVER, Andy's programs are usually pretty solid and bug free even when he releases a Beta but everyone still needs to understand this when downloading a Beta version of any software.
Good luck with your new toys.
