    Thanks Nancy!

Great pictures! I'll link to your site for some of the directions I've given...

btw, making your link clickable: http://www.cre8ivecutz.blogspot.com/

You need to type in 'text' format and not 'Html' to make it clickable...

Hi. I am new to this site, and I wanted to purchase the program. I went to your blog, but I couldn't find anywhere where you explain how to physically connect the software to the cricut machine. I have one and it has the usb port on the back. How does the item that I create in the program gets downloaded into the machine once I finalize it? Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

    thank you again.

you have to connect an A/B usb cable into the back of the cricut and then the other end into an open usb port on your computer. then when you click teh scissors in MTC to cut the file it will automatically send it to the cricut.

Here's the link right to the post that shows how to do this.

And here's some tips on how to cut and what to do if you get error messages:

I am considering purchasing Make the Cut, if it will work with my Cri*** Create. I had considered buying SCAL a year or so ago, but didn't. In researching today, I find that PC has prohibited the use of cutting software. That is disappointing. I have 15 carts and CDS, but there's just so much they can do. I am often needing something that isn't in the carts I have. I found this MTC, and wonder if I can get it. I read about the PCCplugin.dll and have downloaded it. I also made a backup copy of the CDS firmware I purchased a year ago.

My question is, if I purchase MTC, do you think it will work with the PCC plug in and the CDS ver 1.0.40422.0? I am assuming my usb cord from CDS will connect my laptop to the Cri*** Create just fine.

    Thanks for your help.

The trial is free, download the trial and find out, that's the only way to know for sure.

It worked! Having some down time today (after a very busy two weeks due to county fair), I downloaded MTC and tried in demo mode with my Create. After the moment it took for MTC to recognize the Create was connected with the USB serial port, I was cutting away! Very happy and will be purchasing MTC.
