Paper Portraits: Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn

Here are this week's portraits. I thought I didn't have enough females being represented. As always, let me know if you have any suggestions who you would like to see. I'm thinking about doing heroes/villians for next week. Any thoughts?

    i really like your marilyn.
  • Those are amazing! You can just cut them out, put the layers together, and they look just like that?
This Siggy's for you Jeanette...another AWESOME movie!
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of **** out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.
    Samir: Piece of ****.

Beautiful work!!! How do you import them into make the cut? I have never seen such a talent as yours. I ask again if you would contact me and tell me how to do them; any special software? Would love to be able to do my children and grandchildren. Thanks for sharing you wonderful abilities; love to look at them. ;-)

Superman and Wonder woman; wish you could do them and put a couple of my family faces on them. My daughter would dress up as wonder woman when she was little(even got a video of her with a dress on; she spins around and turns into wonder woman). And my son in law is a superman fanatic as is one of my best guy friends. Oh, would love you if you could or would. Would you do it for a fee or teach me?
  • nice job on this weeks portraits. I'm always amazed at your work.

Oh, wow, I love them as always. I don't care who you make but Bette Midler would be good as Maxine suggests. So would Bette Davis.

Thanks everyone. The Audrey Hepburn portrait is my first attempt to making a silhouette as the lightest layer. This is why it looks a little different than my other portraits. This makes for extra work, but it allows the white of Audrey to stand out more from the background color. Also, I now can combine multiple portraits into a much larger frame. I'm really excited to try this technique on a group shot.

I love the Hepburn one and would agree with Maxine that it is the best yet. I am glad you gave your explanation as to why it was different, I knew it was but couldn't figure out why

Yes, they are both gorgeous! , but Audrey Hepburn is really neat. I knew too, that it look a bit different than the others you have done, thanks for explaining why.

Oh no, I would rather see our Heath Ledger as he really was. Not as the joker.

Calgal, I'm still working out everything to make the tutorials. I'm trying to make a process that requires the use of only free software. I uploaded a free Elvis file for anyone who wants to practice the technique. It is under the "Elvis & Prince" discussion.
