Paper Portraits: Prince and Elvis Presley

Here are this week's portraits. Not sure if I like the colors choices for Elvis. I might redo it in gray scale.

Wow, love them all. Husband and daughter even wait to see who you do next. I tried to explain they are all cut colours and that is really hard. They looked impressed but I don't think they get it.

I am amazed at your talent!!! Wish you would email me step by step instructions on how to do this. Want to learn very badly!!! I would really like to make a request when you have time; Jake and Edward of Twilight. And if it is not hard a step by step email would be greatly loved. You would make me the happiest old woman on this earth. Keep up the great work; God has really blessed you! :X

Sorry, I just put in a search for paper portraits and by my amazement; you have already done Jake and Edward. I am still learning about looking for stuff. I will say a special prayer for you tonight and many nights there after. Thanks for sharing! My niece and grand-daughter will flip for this. Thanks again!

  • I am baffled at how great these 2 pieces are- even down to the ruffles on Prince's blouse. The detail in Elvis' hair is amazing!

Thanks everyone. I'm glad people look forward each week for my newest ones. I usually upload my portraits on late Saturday/early Sunday. Let me know if you have ideas for a future portrait, I take requests.

I set myself a mini goal of creating 2 a week for 3 months. So, at the end of March I will be finished with my little project and will set a NEW goal on a different project for the next 3 months. If someone has any suggestions, let me know.

Sorry, I forgot to update the cut file for Elvis. It is a 4 layer portrait. Feel free to use it yourselves. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Meflick, I know. A lot of people have asked for instructions/tutorials. I plan on making a video tutorial come the end of February / beginning of March. Maybe I can see about demonstrating the technqiue on one of the weekly webinars. This way people can at least get a general idea while I get the videos prepared.

Again I have to say, fantastic! Prince is awesome and I do like Elvis in those colors, but grayscale might work just as well also. Such a treat to see your new work!
